As a general rule you should aim to get to LGA 2 hours before a domestic flight and 3 hours for an international flight.

You should, however, allow for a number of things and use your judgement accordingly:

• New York traffic can be atrocious, especially at rush hour.
• If you are carrying or packing anything, such as prohibited items, that may delay you at security.

• Are you taking a taxi, Uber, public transport to the airport or are you driving and parking at LaGuardia Airport? Transport times will vary with public transport or parking at the airport likely to cut most into your time.
