Connecting Cornwall, Ontario with Massena in New York, the Three Nations Crossing bridge was formally known as the Seaway International Bridge. The bridge is 4.7 km in length and crosses the St Lawrence River and connects to Cornwall Island in the middle.
When Akwesasne was federally recognized as a tribe and First Nation, the bridge changed its name to Three Nation Bridge to honor the US, Canada, and Mohawk of Akwesasne.

Yes, there are sidewalks on the bridge, and both pedestrians and cyclists can cross the bridge safely. There is no toll charge for bicycles or passengers on foot.
This bridge is one of the busiest for passenger traffic, due to pedestrians and local traffic.
There is a Cornwall-Massena bridge toll for both directions. For vehicles less than 4080 kg the costs starts at 3 USD/ 3.5 CAD for two-axle vehicles and rises to 6 USD/ 7 CAD for four-axle vehicles.
Vehicles that weigh over 4080 kg will have additional costs, and the price is determined by the number of axles the vehicle has.

The Three Nations bridge is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with no specific closing times. The bridge is open for both commercial and passenger traffic 24/7.

In Rooseveltown there is an Ammex Duty-Free store which opens daily from 8 am to 9 pm. There is also a Duty-Free Americas Massena store located at 30 International Bridge Approach. This is also open daily from 8 am until 9 pm.
To cross the border from the US to Canada and vice versa, you will need the appropriate forms of ID. This needs to prove your identification and your citizenship. A passport is ideal, but you can also use a passport card or NEXUS card.
You can show a certificate proving birth, citizenship or naturalization or a certificate of Indian states. If you choose these forms of ID, then you’ll also need a government-issued photo ID too, such as a driving license.
