Nogales – Morley Gate Border Crossing Wait Times & FAQ’s

The Nogales port of entry was not planned and has evolved into its current state over time. Nowadays, a large number of pedestrians cross here every day. Up to 10,000 people can cross into the United States of America or Mexico in a single day via the Morley Gate border crossing. When is the best time to cross the Nogales border? Morley gate in Nogales is a pedestrian crossing; it is, in fact, one of only four along the US Mexico border. You can use SENTRI and Ready Lane Passes to cross the border here.
There is no toll for passing through this port of entry. As the gate is for pedestrian access only, you will probably not have to pay any fee at all. You will only have to pay if you will be traveling more than 12 miles from the border or if you will be staying for more than 7 days. 
The Nogales Morley Gate border crossing Monday to Saturday is opened at 10 am and closes at 6 pm. On Sundays, the gate closes a little earlier at 4 pm
There are several duty-free stores in Nogales in the US. The one closest to the Morley gate is on North Terrace. It opens from 9 am to 7 pm Monday to Saturday, and on Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm. A little further up the street, there is another duty-free store which is open 10 am - 6 pm Monday to Saturday. The store is closed on Sundays
When traveling between America and Mexico you must have a form of ID with you that is compliant with the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative. The most obvious example is a passport. Frequent travelers may have a PASS card or a trusted traveler card, which is also acceptable. Enhanced Driver’s Licenses issued by your state are also accepted. Any minors must have proof of citizenship. This could be in the form of an original birth certificate, a Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or a Citizenship Certificate.
