US, Canadian & Mexican Borders To Stay Shut For Another 30 Days

April 20th 2020 – To no great surprise, the US Canadian and US Mexican borders are to stay closed to non-essential travel for at least another 30 days, with the potential for further extensions beyond that.

“As stated last week, border control, travel restrictions and other limitations remain critical to slowing the spread (of COVID-19) and allowing the phased opening of the country,” said Acting Department of Homeland Security, Secretary Chad Wolf.

Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau announced: “We will continue to take the measures necessary to keep Canadians safe while ensuring the continued flow of our essential supply chains on which so many Canadians depend.”
