April 30th 2020 – The Detroit Windsor Tunnel, already closed for non-essential traffic, will be closed to all traffic on the 14th, 21st and 28th of May between 9pm and 5am. The timings of the closures are aimed at minimizing disruption for essential travel.

As a reminder, all non-essential travel through the tunnel is currently suspended due to COVID-19 restrictions and cash payments to travel through the tunnel are currently not supported. Card payments at tunnel booths or payment via a Nexpress account are the permitted payment methods right now.
