Gordie Howe Bridge receives $15 million for border inspection systems

3rd January 2020 – The $3 billion project to build a new bridge spanning the US/Canadian border in Detroit has received it’s first cash injection from the US Government. Canada is footing the bill for most of the project in exchange for future toll revenues.

As part of a Trump led deal $15 million has been earmarked for vehicle inspection and screen area on the US port of entry, which is going to be built on a huge 170 acre yet to be built customs plaza.
