February 3rd 2020 – Cars were being turned around and prevented from crossing through the Sumas border at Abbotsford yesterday due to heavy flooding. It is unclear if the border is passable this morning.

Days of heavy rain in the area has caused many roads to be impassable and there have even been landslides blocking routes. It is reported that floodwaters are now receding and the weather is improving.
